JT Skinner is an attorney based in Western Kentucky whose practice focuses on litigation, real estate transactions, corporate and municipal law, creditor and debtor rights, probate and estate planning and criminal defense. Through his firm, JT Skinner P.S.C., he provides trusted counsel to financial institutions, corporate clients and individuals across Kentucky.
Prior to establishing his firm, Mr. Skinner practiced with Western Kentucky's largest law firm, where he concentrated in complex real estate and corporate transactions and litigation, municipal law, and general civil litigation. Since 2012, he has represented clients in jury trials, bench trials, administrative hearings, and appeals, and has acted as outside counsel to private and public entities.
In addition to his legal practice, Mr. Skinner has been active in regional leadership and economic development efforts as a member of the Chamber Leadership Initiatives of Northwestern Kentucky, promoting infrastructure and business growth throughout the Western Kentucky region.
Mr. Skinner earned his Juris Doctor from Southern Illinois University School of Law and also holds a Master of Science in Agribusiness Economics and a Bachelor of Science in Agribusiness Finance from Murray State University. He is admitted to practice in all Kentucky state courts, the U.S. District Court for the Western District of Kentucky, and the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Sixth Circuit, and is a member of the Kentucky Bar Association. He also serves as an elder in the First Presbyterian Church of Paducah.
